 MEET THE EXPERT

Hi I'm Marie MP.jpg

I’m a seasoned professional just like you treating complex trauma and sex addiction. My journey in this therapy space started out when I was assigned an internship at a residential sex addiction treatment center while in graduate school. I had no idea what sex addiction was, and knew even less about complex trauma. When I heard the first client’s story, it all began to make sense. Underneath the behaviors that got them into treatment was so much pain. I was immediately drawn to the work and had an entirely different level of empathy for the clients.

Fortunately, I landed a job at that treatment center after graduation, and could not have had better supervisors who encouraged, supported, and taught me. Later in my career, I realized just how crucial they were to my development (and honestly my sanity) in this work. To this day, I refer to them as my professional parents. Without their support, I would have quickly burned out doing this work.

I can’t imagine my journey without the incredible training opportunities, and the mentors who provided the right balance of skills, guidance, and support as I grew. I’ve seen so many talented friends and colleagues leave the profession due to a lack of self care and support. I’ve designed The Compassion Collective as a place to provide that so all of us can keep doing this amazing work!

“I have known Marie for almost a decade now and in that time, she has become one of my most trusted friends and colleagues.  Having worked with Marie in residential sex addiction treatment, I watched her grow as a clinician and truly answer her vocational calling as a therapist and healer. In many ways she is now a mentor to me personally and professionally. Marie continuously challenges herself and explores her interests and passions. Every time I interact with Marie, I find myself having gained a new insight or a level of peace and calm. Similarly, I have watched her provide compassionate and challenging care to her patients and witnessed the growth she fostered within them while they were on their therapeutic journey with her. Marie is gifted clinician who can offer nurturance and insight into almost any situation. With her specialized training in Sexual Addiction, the Post-induction therapy model, financial disorders, and somatic experience therapy techniques, she has a depth of knowledge that is unique and adaptable to many of life’s twists and turns.”

You might be thinking…

Can I get my supervision hours for certification in this program?

What if I’m already certified will this program benefit me?

The C2 Site Header Updated.jpg

We all know that a certification and/or letters behind a name are not the true indicator of mastery of skill or expertise.  I firmly believe that the best therapists are those who continue doing their own work on multiple levels. This work extends not only to additional training and certifications, but also to continued examination of the self of the therapist.

The Compassion Collective for Professionals is designed to augment your certification and supervision. It is for professionals who want to continue developing in order to offer the highest quality services to their clients. It is knowledge, training, consultation, and support all in one package.

If you are seeking supervision towards certification as a CSAT or CPTT, then the mastermind group can count towards your group supervision needs while also providing you the opportunity to continue with ongoing consultation post certification.

One portion of the program is training, but it is either more in depth on the topics covered in certification OR new concepts or topics that were not part of certification to help keep you up to date and relevant in the field. In the case consult portion of the program, you have the opportunity to incorporate this new knowledge into work with clients and get real time feedback.

The second portion of the program, and equally as important, is the personal growth and support. Members will have access to a private community where they can check in whenever they need to and receive support in the moment. I cannot wait for each of you to join and experience the collective energy, support, and compassion in the amazing work we all do!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I am so busy, what is the time commitment for the program?

We get that you are busy which is why we want to make the program as flexible as possible. Overall, the program provides two hours of live consultation per month . However, you don’t have to be present for all of those hours and everything is recorded for you to listen to at your leisure.

What if I’m not available at the time of the live calls? Will I have access to them later?

All live calls will be recorded and you will have access to them for the duration of your membership. So, if you’re not available when we are live, you can check them out later and not feel like you missed anything. Note: You must be live for if you are counting hours towards certification.

Can I get supervision hours for CSAT or CPTT certification through this program?

YES - The mastermind group can count towards your group supervision requirements for those pursuing a CSAT or CPTT certification. Continued participation in the mastermind group post certification is a great way to build in ongoing consultation into your work as therapist.

Do I need to have a certain certification to be part of this program?

Yes and no. We do ask that you have some formal certification in a trauma or sex addiction modality. This is to ensure that members of the community are speaking a common language. That being said, we are open to a variety of different certifications including (but not limited to) EMDR, SE, Brainspotting, ART, EFT, IFS, CSAT, CPTT, etc… You will be asked about this on the application and we will help you determine whether the program is a fit for your training thus far.

What is your refund policy?

No refunds are provided for the monthly membership, however, after the three month minimum you may cancel and won’t be charged beyond that.
